Juvenile Crimes

If a juvenile is charged with a crime, they are brought before the juvenile court in the county where the crime allegedly occurred.  Although the punishments are not the same as for adults, any juvenile crime needs to be taken very seriously.  Unlike adult court where the purpose is punish, the purpose of juvenile court is to rehabilitate.  Our attorneys have handled thousands of juvenile cases over the years and understand that there is nothing more important to a parent than the welfare of their child.  That is why the attorneys at Parker and Pugh work diligently to ensure that the rights of your child are protected.

Just like an adult, a juvenile has the right to remain silent and when it comes to court, the State must prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.  When you retain Parker and Pugh we will immediately begin investigating your child’s case.  This includes talking to potential witnesses, reviewing witness statements and police reports and always meeting with you and your child face-to-face.  Once we have completed our investigation, we will review the case and meet with the district attorney or other prosecutor and make a persuasive argument for a dismissal.  If we are not able to get a dismissal we will either have a trial or try and work out a settlement offer with the district attorney or other prosecutor.  Regardless, we will make sure your child’s constitutional rights are protected from the second they were charged.

With any crime, it is important to be defended.  Parker and Pugh recognizes that there is a big difference in merely being represented and being defended.  If your child has been charged with any crime, contact Parker and Pugh immediately so we can begin building a defense.  It never hurts to call and the first consultation is always free.  No matter the circumstances of your child’s case, our attorneys are ready to defend them with the utmost respect and determination.
